Shakespeare's Twelfth Night

Our production of Twelfth night will take place during Sleaford Live festival in 2019 and will be directed Maria Bates

Twelfth Night was written in the middle of Shakespeare's career around 1601, and most critics consider it to be one of his greatest comedies.

In Shakespeare's day, Twelfth Night was celebrated as a festival, in which everything is turned upside down! The show examines illusion, deception, disguise, pain and the extraordinary things that love can cause us to do.

For this reason, it seems to fit very well with the live arts festival theme and 'Sleaford Live' specifically. Hence this production will have a real festival feel about it. (May Day, not Christmas!).
